Review: Illuminae

Yes, I know I said I’d try my best to post everyday but I missed two days, ugh! But I hope this review makes up for it!

This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do.

This afternoon, her planet was invaded.

The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.

But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet’s AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it’s clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she’d never speak to again.

Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents—including emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more—Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping, high-octane trilogy about lives interrupted, the price of truth, and the courage of everyday heroes.

NAME: Illuminae

AUTHOR: Jay Kristof and Amie Kaufman

GENRE: Ya, SCI-fi

RATINGS: 5/5

I finished this book exactly at 2am yesterday! Yes that’s right I’ve been staying up late to finish this book. Ofcourse a thought occurred to me to write the review right then, but I was really tired. Thank you sooo much panmacmillan india for sending me a review copy Of this amazing book!

The start was quick and fast paced and that made it really interesting and the characters, oh my god they were amazing. I loved the way the book was written, in conversations and chats. That made it easier to relate too. I absolutely adored this book. I don’t normally read sci-fi but this book was totally  worth it. Everything about it was so good, not to mention the way it was printed, ohh people might think that this book is expensive but when you read you’ll know that this book is totally worth the money.the story line was so unique and completely intriguing, I could never put this book down, I was reading continuously without a break. I literally couldn’t peel my eyes off the book.

Midway I was hoping for a happy ending and I was almost certain I’d get it, but then something happened and it shocked me so much, I’d lost all hope and then tears began to roll down my cheeks. I thought I wouldn’t cry, but then there I was hopelessly reading the book and crying because it was over……. the writing was spectacular and the way the words were used ahh it was so freely flowing and flawless. This book is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I could feel everything the protagonists were feeling, their pain, love, grief all of it.

Then came the end and OMG!! Something HUGE happen I couldn’t believe what I was reading but it was huge and it was so so so unecxpected I smiled. And the this wonderful story came to an end. I wanted to stay in that world longer, I wanted to read more if it and that’s what the authors did to keep their readers intrigued and interested to the VERY LAST WORD of the book! I know that in the end I was very satisfied with the book and also the ending and I loved this book so very much!

Please do read this book if you haven’t already it. This book is definitely one of the best books of 2016!! Please please take my advice and read it. If you aren’t familiar with sci-fi, it honestly doesn’t matter! I loved this book so much, I want to read Gemini so bad. I’m sure it’ll be just as good or even better but all I know is That I need and want to read it!!
